(1) Vendor needs to provide workers compensation third party administrator services.– Comprehensive claims administration services from a firm that will provide prompt, efficient service and that can demonstrate a proven track record of creative, innovative approaches to containing or reducing costs.– Claims Administration• Review, process, investigate and document all claims, in consultation with the County.• Establish and maintain reserves on the basis of most probable final cost.• Pay disability benefits on admitted claims in a timely manner, obtaining medical verification of continuing disability before payment.• Outline claim strategy for defense and resolution consistent with County settlement authority.• Refer claims to authorized counsel as necessary; assist with the defense of litigated claims; and attend hearings, pre–hearings and settlement conferences as needed.– Reporting and Data• Monthly cumulative check register summarizing all medical, indemnity and other payments.• Monthly performance and experience reporting, including claims analysis and trend analysis.– Consultation and Program Support• Consultation on best practices, including the County’s return–to–work program, and telephone consultation as needed.• Updates, education and recommendations on trends in workers’ compensation claims management.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than October 2, 2026.(3) The contract period will be for one year.
