Northwest Well Treatment Facility
City of Tucson / Water Department
Description
The City of Tucson (City) is requesting professional services and design of the Northwest Well Treatment Facility that will treat raw water from three wells for perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and 1,4-dioxane and provide up to 3.7 MGD of potable water to the northwest portion of the service area. The northwest area currently has limited capacity and redundancy, due to PFAS and 1,4-dioxane in the groundwater supply. The objective for this project is to restore lost capacity and redundancy by treating the elevated levels of PFAS and 1,4-dioxane and maintaining a high level or service to Tucson Water customers.
