(1) Vendor needs to provide civil service physician and medical review officer service to the government authority located in Pittsburgh, PA. • All medical examinations required under civil service rules must be conducted by or under the direction of the civil service commission physician.• Candidates offered employment in positions requiring arduous, non–sedentary duties.• Employees offered promotions or transfers to positions requiring arduous, non–sedentary duties.• Employees performing arduous non–sedentary duties who seek to return to work after an absence of forty–five or more consecutive days.• Employees exhibiting indications that they are physically or mentally incapable of performing the duties of their position (fitness for duty).• Random testing of employees who hold positions requiring a commercial driver’s license.• Random testing of firefighter recruits and fire bureau uniformed employees.• Tests performed based on a supervisor’s reasonable suspicion determination.(2) Pre–bid optional meeting will be held on August 18, 2026.
