(1) Vendor needs to provide embedding substance use disorder support services to the government authority located in Olympia, WA. • Establish and implement an embedded substance use disorder support services position to engage and support patients experiencing substance use disorders (sud), including opioid use disorder (oud) within hospital settings. • Program is intended to support statewide efforts to address the opioid epidemic through evidence–based strategies that expand access to treatment, recovery supports, harm reduction services and continuity of care in state emergency departments.• Increase Hospital and Emergency Department patient engagement;• Provide education related to opioid use disorder;• Increase utilization of methadone and buprenorphine in Hospital and Emergency Department settings;• Improve linkage to care;• Enhance continuity of care;• Reduce opioid related harm; and,• Support program development and sustainability.
