(1) Vendor needs to provide strategic communications and media support service in Brussels. – Provide both strategic advice and hands–on media support.– Strategic Media Advice and Planning:• Based on advocacy priorities, advise on how to position HIV/AIDS, global health and the global fund within the evolving political and media environment and identify opportunities to connect these issues to relevant debates. • Develop a focused communications and media strategy accordingly.– Amplification and Social Media:• Advise on and support the amplification of relevant media moments and communications new organisation social media channels, in coordination with the communications team.• Social media is envisaged as a supporting element of the broader media strategy rather than a standalone workstream.– Media Relations and Outreach:• Maintain relationships with relevant journalists and media.• Proactively pitch relevant stories, evidence, and commentary to media.identify and pursue opportunities for media coverage, including interviews, opinion pieces, features, commentary and other formats considered strategically relevant.– Content Development and Adaptation:• Draft and adapt communications materials for the media environment, including media pitches, opinion pieces, short statements and other materials as appropriate.• Make effective use of existing evidence, stories and communications assets the global fund and other relevant partners, liaising with them as needed to identify and adapt materials for the context.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
