Animal Enclosure at Animal Services Facility

Description

Seminole County Animal Services seeks a contractor to remove and replace two animal enclosures on the exterior of the Animal Services Facility, located at 232 Eslinger Way, Sanford, FL. 32773. The project consists of removing two existing enclosures and replacing with One (1) structure that wraps around the outside corner of the building on two sides. An existing monolithic slab will remain in place and used as existing foundation for one portion of the structure. The additional concrete required will be attached with rebar and epoxy materials as standard practice. The structure will consist of white extruded aluminum frame with 3 Inch NON-Insulated Roof panels, attached to the building with C-channel or as designed by a licensed engineer. The Structure will have 2" x 4" square, galvanized welded wire mesh mechanically fastened to the outside of all surrounding framing members in place of bug screen. NOTE: A 50 ft long by 5 ft high roll of this material can be obtained from Lowe's. The lower section will have a 36" high aluminum kickplate on the exterior, with the welded wire mesh mentioned herein directly above it and up to the aluminum roof system framing. The enclosure will include two separate 36" by 80" high aluminum screen doors with the same welded wire mesh attached, in lieu of bug screen. Each door will be located on opposite ends of the enclosure for entry/exit convenience. Contractors will be responsible for calculating all square footages of concrete to be installed and or replaced, as well as all material quantities, sizes, thicknesses, etc. To meet specifications as mentioned herein-- and for permit and design criteria as required. It will be the awarded contractor's responsibility to obtain the appropriate engineering design drawings to satisfy building code requirements, zoning requirements, for both permit applications and installation methods of all materials used. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for ALL cleanup, debris removal, and replacement of any damages caused to the property during construction work. Additionally, it is the contractor's responsibility to confirm any setback requirements imposed by the building and zoning dept for said structure. Contractors will be required to call for utility locates prior to work commencement and ensure no utilities are affected or disturbed during construction. The awarded contractor will provide and maintain a two-year warranty on all work for both material and installation/workmanship of the structure.
