EXTRA-76568 - USA (Washington, DC) - Policy and Advocacy Consultant Service - Deadline October 2,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide policy and advocacy consultant service to the government authority located in Washington, DC. • Co–lead the 1,000 Days Advocacy Working Group (AWG), including quarterly calls, coalition strategy development, consensus–building, and coordination with co–chairs and partners.• Support advocacy related to the FY27 and FY28 appropriations processes, including developing funding and report–language recommendations, coordinating coalition submissions, shepherding House and Senate Dear Colleague letters, public testimony, organizing Hill Days, submitting appropriations request forms, and developing other supporting materials.• Organize and participate in meetings with Members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agencies, and other stakeholders to educate policymakers about Organization’s advocacy priorities and global development investments. Sustain these relationships through follow–up communications.• Work with the Global Policy and Advocacy (GPA) team and coalition partners to develop and implement plans to educate the new Congress beginning in January 2027.• Draft, edit, and finalize high–quality advocacy products—including policy briefs, talking points, briefing papers, correspondence, presentations, legislative materials, reports, and internal communications—and translate technical evidence into accessible, persuasive messages for policy and executive audiences.• Represent Organization and the 1,000 Days initiative at relevant coalition meetings and events, including, but not limited to, InterAction’s Food Security, Nutrition, and Agriculture Working Group, Ebola Response Group Meeting, and humanitarian response convenings and the Global Health Council’s Maternal and Child Nutrition Roundtable and Meta Working Group; identify key takeaways, action items, and emerging policy issues.• Serve as a liaison between Organization’s Crisis Response team and the team. Lead monthly touch base meetings, and track and pass along relevant developments in Congress and the Administration.• Support GPA team administratively with notetaking, meeting follow up, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating logistics for the team or during team events• Handling correspondence — emails, calls, and internal communications• Preparing and organizing documents, reports, and presentations• Assist Organization leadership in articulating organizational advocacy priorities and influence objectives and tailoring messages for different audiences.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 22, 2026.
