Untitled opportunity

Groton-Dunstable Reg Sch Dist

Description

As part of the ongoing infrastructure upgrades within the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District, reliable wireless internet access is essential to support students, teachers, and staff connecting to district technology resources and the internet throughout our schools. The District has historically followed an approximately five-year wireless access point replacement cycle, including associated hardware, software, licensing, warranty, and support. For the upcoming funding year, the District intends to replace 90 wireless access points as part of this lifecycle replacement at the Groton-Dunstable Regional High School. The District is seeking 90 Extreme Wireless access points, or equivalent, that are compatible with the District's existing Extreme Wireless infrastructure and cloud management environment. The proposed solution shall include the following: - 85 classroom/standard-density access points, such as the Extreme AP4020 or equivalent. - 5 high-density gymnasium access points, such as the Extreme AP5020 or equivalent. - Access points shall support Wi-Fi 6E or newer technology, including operation across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. - Standard access points shall provide a minimum 2x2:2 radio configuration with software-defined/programable radios capable of supporting the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands concurrently or through configurable operating modes. The Extreme AP4020 provides three 2x2:2 radios across these bands. - High-density access points shall provide a minimum 4x4:4 tri-radio configuration supporting the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. The Extreme AP5020 provides 4x4:4 radios across all three bands and is designed for high-density environments such as schools and large gathering spaces. - The access points shall support cloud-based management and integration with the District's existing wireless management environment. - The solution shall include a five-year warranty and applicable software/cloud licensing and support for the access points. - Mounting brackets and associated hardware required for installation shall be included. - Access points shall support the District's existing Ethernet and Power over Ethernet infrastructure, including 802.3at or better, as applicable to the proposed equipment. The proposed equipment shall be current-generation hardware and shall provide an upgrade path for continued wireless infrastructure support. Replacing this critical network hardware will continue to support instructional and operational technology, including student Chromebooks and staff laptops, tablets, interactive displays, mobile devices, and other network-connected equipment.
