CSE-23851 - USA (Santa Maria, California) - Crossing Guard Services - Deadline June 29,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide crossing guard services to the government authority located in Santa Maria, CA.• Services shall include:– Minimum Standards for School Crossing Guards:– Be at least (18) years of age– Bilingual/Multingual preferred– Be able to read, write, and speak English– Not have any felony convictions, misdemeanors convictions involving crime against children,or involving any violent crimeparents, school officials, and law enforcement officials• Recruiting, Pre–employment, and Hiring, to include:– Criminal Background Checks– FingerprintingTraining– Supervising– Disciplining• Duties of Crossing Guards to include:– Crossing guards shall be trained in accordance with California Vehicle Code,California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD), and recognized school crossing guard best practices. – Training shall emphasize that crossing guards are responsible for creating safe crossing opportunities for students and shall not unnecessarily impede or stop the normal flow of vehiculartraffic. Guards shall be trained to:– Cross students during safe gaps in traffic whenever possible.– Minimize traffic delays while maintaining pedestrian safety.– Use stop paddles and hand signals in accordance with CA MUTCD requirements to permitchildren to cross the road safely– Avoid creating unnecessary vehicle queues or congestion.– Balance pedestrian safety with efficient traffic movement.– Maintain order among children assembled at street crossing points and permit them to crossonly when they can do so safely– Report to the Police Department the license plate of motor vehicles that violate traffic laws orcrossing guard instructions(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than June 22, 2026
