Description
Bastrop County is requesting bids for a drainage improvement project on Cardinal Dr at the Alum Creek Tributary within the 100 Block of Cardinal Dr (Longitude 30.16495 Latitude -97.21293). This project area provides critical habitat for the federally endangered Houston Toad. Bastrop County will provide and deploy a permitted Houston Toad monitor for the duration of construction activities and all contracted personnel will be trained by a Houston Toad Biologist prior to commencing work. All avoidance and minimization measures are listed in the “Biological Resource Notes” in the General Notes page 2 of the plans and specifications. The submitted lump sum bids should be based on the installation of erosion control measures, determine and implementation of traffic control temporary access or detour, demolition of the two (2) existing 48” corrugated metal pipe culverts and roadway, grading, construction of two 8’ x 5’ Rigid Concrete Box culverts with headwalls and pavement repair, and stabilization of the project site.
