TRANSLATION-8410 - USA (California) - Language Translation and Interpretation Services - Deadline November 6,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide language translation and interpretation services. – The selected Respondent(s) will provide the agency with language translation and interpretation services through a variety of means and platforms including but not limited to telephonic, video, web–based, documents, and in–person.– Translators that will be assigned to work on tasks for the agency should:• Be proficient with terminologies associated with education, social services, medical care, and other disciplines in connection with the education system.• Be tested and qualified and certified by a nationally recognized language testing organization for language proficiency in both English and the language(s) of service.• Ensure all translated documents go through the translation, proofreading and editing (TPE)process before finalization.• Ensure timely completion of all Special Education documents in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory deadline requirements, including timely response to urgent requests.• Comply with all applicable federal and state legal requirements relating to language access, student privacy, and confidentiality.– Interpreters that will be assigned to work on tasks for the MCOE should:• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional interpretation ethical principles and standards, including confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, and appropriate role boundaries.• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between families of agency students and agency employees at the central office and/or school site meetings and events, such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and parent–teacher conferences.• Facilitate conversations while providing accurate interpretation of presentations, formal speeches, and sensitive information that are highly confidential.• Respond to requests from agency and coordinate services in a timely manner.• Comply with all applicable federal and state legal requirements relating to language access, student privacy, and confidentiality.
