SW-121245 - South Africa - Oracle Database Licenses, Maintenance and Support Service - Deadline November 20,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide oracle database licenses, maintenance and support service. – Renewal of the Oracle Database Maintenance and Support for the existing licenses, as well as any additions of licenses during the term of the contract.– Provide second–line to fourth–line technical support for the Oracle Database products deployed across all agency environments, including Sandbox, Development, QA, Production and DR environments.– Provide support for customizations and custom–developed scripts and/or programs (incl. Stored Procedures) deployed on the Oracle databases.– Report on patches and upgrades monthly, informing the appropriate agency stakeholders and system owners of recommended updates and upgrades that should be implemented. Accordingly, the preferred bidder will be granted access to the agency's Oracle support platform.– Apply Oracle best practices and optimise/enhance security controls implemented to safeguard against emerging and established cyber threats and techniques, remediating new vulnerabilities as and when identified.– From an Oracle perspective, assist with migrations to/from other database platforms and systems, including schema transformation, data migrations and migration testing.– Cost and licence optimisation of the current deployments in line with Oracle best practices to avoid wastage and optimize resource utilization.– Maintenance of the product implementation roadmap for Oracle products in agency, including execution of the Modernization roadmap (e.g. Cloud and DBaaS migrations).– Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for all Oracle software and hardware–related incidents and new requirements, including engagements with Oracle.– Design and implement hybrid architectures supporting replication between on–prem and cloud, multi–region DR, and data portability.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than November 7, 2026.(3) The contract period will be for three years. (4) A non–compulsory pre–bid briefing session will be held on November 2, 2026.
