The Syracuse Police Department is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced martial arts instructors or organizations to provide a comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) training program for the Syracuse Regional Police Academy. The program will be incorporated into the Syracuse Regional Police Academy curriculum to enhance officer safety, defensive tactics, situational control, and overall physical preparedness. The Department values training that is evidence-based, progressive, and aligned with law enforcement best practices .
