Vendor needs to provide conference planning and program development consultant services to the government authority located in Burlington, VT.– Consultants to support the planning, development, and execution of a conference focused on local and regional food systems law and policy to be held.– Assist in developing the conference theme, objectives, and program structure.– Recommend session formats that encourage interaction among researchers and practitioners.– Assist in developing plenary, breakout, workshop, and networking sessions.– Develop strategies to integrate practitioner expertise and community perspectives into conference programming.– Conduct outreach to prospective partners, presenters, and attendees.– Support the formation and facilitation of a small advisory committee or planning committee.– Identify, implement, and manage registration systems and attendee communications.– Lead venue selection, onboarding, and coordination and vendor management.– Plan and coordinate field trips to local farms, food hubs, and processing facilities.– Assist with participation strategies.
