Congregate Meals and Site Management

Do you know an older adult who could benefit from having access to a hot meal and some socialization? Do you have an established community within Washington County? Do you serve an historically marginalized community and would like to see culturally appropriate meals provided to the older adults you serve? If you answered yes to any of the above questions then we want to hear from you! We are seeking proposals from meal providers, culturally specific community organizations, and other centers that work with the older adult population with Washington County. We are looking for proposals for providing meals that are collaborative, equitable and actionable. Our hope is to serve as many older adults as funding allows and we are seeking new and diverse ways of connecting with older adults we may not have previously served. This is where your organization comes in. Please let us know your ideas and plans for providing congregate meals to older adults of varying races, ethnicities, genders, etc., throughout Washington County. Let us know other partners you may collaborate with through funding, shared space, etc. Discuss the types of social activities or resources your organization would offer to participants in your congregate meal site. If you are not a culturally specific organization, please detail how you would perform outreach to and serve historically marginalized communities.
