The City of Pittsburgh, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Animal Care & Control, seeks a consultant to examine and present the feasibility of building and operating a City-owned animal shelter. Proposals should be from experienced and interested firms that have successfully completed similar projects including the programming, conceptual planning, and full design of a new animal shelter providing animal services utilizing one location or inclusive of multiple satellite locations; clinic for veterinary services for medical care, spay/neuter/vaccinations/microchipping; animal shelter adoption centers; animal control stray management/housing of animals, cats, dogs, and wildlife.
