The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a field-deployable analytical instrument capable of the following: 1. identifying unknown drugs, 2. chemicals, 3. precursors and 4. hazardous substances encountered during investigations. 5. rapid identify of substances in the field 6. immediate / real time operational assessment/ results. 7. The need to assess both physical samples and airborne contaminants. EPS is seeking information regarding available portable technologies capable of providing rapid identification capability for complex drug and chemical samples.
