Description
The University of Virginia invites qualified consulting engineering firms to submit a letter of interest and associated supporting materials for consideration in the selection of consultant teams to provide construction materials testing and inspection services on a Term Contract basis. Each of the selected firms, under the guidelines of the University of Virginia Higher Education Capital Outlay Manual Revision VI, will be awarded a Term Contract to provide construction materials testing and inspection services along with their first service order. Additional service orders may be written under the terms of the agreement that are of a similar nature as may be identified. The services may be in support of either Academic or Health Systems facilities at the University. The duration of the contract(s) shall be for one year or a maximum dollar value of $500,000 in fees, whichever occurs first. The contract(s) shall include four (4) additional one-year contract renewals at the University’s option, under the same terms and conditions. Firms must demonstrate their availability to commence work on the project on or about September 1, 2009. The first Service Order will be for construction materials testing and inspection services to support the Band Rehearsal Hall capital project.
