Rental Inventory Program Software

General work description: The City of Monterey (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide rental software service solutions for the City’s Rental Inventory Program. The City is a charter city located in the County of Monterey. The City is a full-service city with a population of 29,571 residents, approximately 64.8% of whom are renters. The City requests assistance in the development of software service solutions to collect and manage all information submitted as part of the comprehensive Rental Inventory Program. The City is seeking a software solution that includes a public-facing portal, a secure database and reporting tools that may be used to drive future policymaking and internal decision-making. The requested software solution may be proposed by a single qualified firm, a team of qualified firms, or qualified individuals. City staff will provide oversight of the program, as well as assistance as available. The Rental Inventory Program will launch on January 1, 2024, and the City’s goal is to roll out the public-facing Rental Inventory Program software on that date. However, vendors that are unable to deliver a public portal on January 1, 2024 are still encouraged to submit a proposal with an alternative timeline. The work plan or proposal should include: the development of software solutions, an implementation plan for the software, and the provision of services from the beginning of a contract for successive terms of twelve (12) months, unless cancelled by either Party thirty (30) business days prior to the end of the current term.
