City of Tampa / Police

Description

The Tampa Police Department seeks to procure portable tire deflation devices, commonly referred to as “Stop Sticks,” to support law enforcement operations and enhance public safety. These devices are designed to safely and effectively end vehicle pursuits and prevent unauthorized vehicle movement by gradually deflating a vehicle’s tires in a controlled manner, reducing the risk of injury to officers, the public, and vehicle occupants during high-risk incidents. The equipment will provide officers with a proven traffic interdiction and vehicle containment tool for use during pursuits, stolen vehicle incidents, barricaded situations, and other critical public safety operations. The devices are designed for rapid deployment, durability, portability, and compatibility with standard law enforcement response procedures.
