(1) Vendor needs to provide governmental relations associate services.• Identifies, analyzes, and develops recommendations for the association on state and federal policy issues affecting municipalities.• Monitors state and federal legislation, regulations, and other policy developments and communicates relevant information to members.• Confers with the national league of cities, other state municipal leagues, and partner organizations regarding local government policy issues.• Assists in planning and implementing the association’s policy development process.• Writes, prepares, or completes reports, correspondence, legislative analyses, policy statements, legislative updates, lobbyist reports, guides, presentations, and other materials for use by staff, officials, and members.• Reviews proposed legislation, policy research, laws, regulations, reports, correspondence, and other relevant materials; analyzes and processes information as appropriate.• Assists in developing, coordinating, and participating in training and informational sessions for municipal government officials.(2) This is not RFP; this is job posting.
