Description
The City is seeking economic analysis services to better understand the economic and fiscal impact of Philadelphia's 2026 events and related activity on the local economy. Elements of the analysis shall be developed in conjunction with the City and are expected to include: (a) developing an analytical framework, including the proposed methodology, assumptions, data sources, and economic modeling approach; (b) evaluating event-related visitation, tourism activity, and associated economic activity generated within Philadelphia; (c) estimating the direct and indirect economic impacts resulting from the events; (d) estimating state and local tax revenues generated by event-related economic activity; and (e) analyzing the distribution of economic impacts across industries, sectors, and geographic areas of the city. Project deliverables will include a final report with supporting analysis and detail of all assumptions and may also include developing presentation materials and presenting findings to City officials, other stakeholders, and members of the public.
