Professional Construction Management Services for the Solids Handling Improvements Project

Proposals are being accepted by West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin), a Municipal Water District, for Project Title . The Solids Handling Improvement Project aims to refurbish the aging Plate and Frame Filter Presses (PFFPs) and associated infrastructure at West Basin's Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility. The purpose of this refurbishment is to extend the useful life of the system by another 10-15 years, and it involves the following key tasks: Replacing two steel sludge conditioning tanks Installing temporary dewatering centrifuges and associated piping/conduit Replacing four sludge feed pumps Replacing two acid wash pumps Replacing existing control system Replacing major components of the PFFPs such as hydraulic cylinders Refurbishing major components of the PFFPs such as filter plates Refurbishing other related systems such as MCCs, drip trays, and air compressors West Basin requires a qualified construction management team to provide constructability reviews, oversee the construction process, provide inspection services, oversee quality assurance, and coordinate between all parties. The 90% design submittal is anticipated in June 2024, with the contractor being procured in September 2024. Anticipated NTP is November 2024, and the construction phase is anticipated to take 12 months.
