SEALED BID PROPOSALS are requested by the City of Waxahachie to furnish all labor, material, and equipment, and perform all work required for the Wilmington Avenue & Charlotte Avenue Reconstruction project. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Secretary, on the 3 rd floor of the Charles Beatty Municipal Services Building, 408 S. Rogers, Waxahachie, TX 75165 until Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Please use the elevator to access the 3 rd floor of the Charles Beatty Municipal Services Building. The staircase adjected to the elevator does not go to the 3 rd floor of the building. There will be a public bid opening at 2:05 p.m. Central Standard Time on May 9, 2024 in the Mean Green conference room of the Charles Beatty Municipal Services Building, located at 408 S. Rogers, Waxahachie, TX 75165. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m . The pre-bid meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams ( https://tinyurl.com/yw332j83 ), pre-bid meeting ID will be: 224 089 090 333, and the passcode will be: C9FYtD The project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 1,300 linear feet of Wilmington Avenue from Richmond Lane to Monticello Drive, 1,500 linear feet of Charlotte Avenue from Richmond Land to Monticello Drive, as well as the reconstruction of approximately 900 LF of Chiles Street from Cumberland Road to halfway between Charlotte Avenue and Pensacola Avenue. This includes reconstructing the existing asphalt roadway to a concrete section consisting of 6” of reinforced concrete with 6” of flexible base subgrade. The project also includes the installation of approximately 3,600 LF of 6”-8” water line, 1,900 LF of reinforced concrete pipe of various sizes, and approximately 1,200 LF of 6”-8” sanitary sewer line. Additionally, the project includes ADA compliant sidewalks with curb ramps, driveway repairs, and streetlights.
