Vendor needs to provide reading specialist services to the government authority located in Punxsutawney, PA. – This position will work for 7.5 hours per day.• Provide direct, targeted reading and writing instruction to individual students and small groups based on identified instructional needs and assessment data.• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement, and adjust evidence–based literacy instruction and interventions aligned with the district curriculum and Pennsylvania Academic Standards.• Support implementation of structured literacy and other evidence–based reading practices, including explicit instruction in foundational reading skills, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written expression as appropriate to student need and grade level.• Administer and interpret appropriate formal and informal literacy assessments to identify student strengths, skill gaps, and instructional needs.• Provide professional learning and ongoing support to teachers and paraprofessionals related to reading, writing, assessment, intervention, and current evidence–based literacy practices.• Assist teachers in selecting, implementing, adapting, and evaluating literacy materials, instructional resources, and technology to meet the needs of diverse learners.• Maintain accurate records of student assessments, interventions, progress monitoring, collaboration, and professional support provided.• Support a positive, engaging literacy environment that promotes student confidence, independence, and a love of reading.• Perform other duties related to literacy instruction, intervention, assessment, and professional support as assigned.
