(1) Vendor needs to provide superintendent search consulting services to the government authority located in Watertown, MA. – Provide superintendent search consulting services in connection with the district’s search for its next superintendent of schools.– Including relevant public school search experience, recruitment reach, methodology, community engagement, assigned staff, timeline, and references.– Leadership Profile Development:• Facilitate the school committee's identification of success factors, major district issues, and community expectations for the next superintendent.• Develop and refine the superintendent job description• Conduct community and stakeholder focus groups (staff, families, students, municipal partners) to inform the leadership profile.– Candidate Recruitment:• Design and place advertisements in appropriate print, digital, and professional–association outlets.• Actively recruit candidates, including passive candidates not currently seeking a position.• Leverage national networks and affiliations to broaden the candidate pool.– Candidate Screening:• Develop and administer a candidate screening process, including review of credentials, experience, and fit against the leadership profile.• Conduct preliminary reference checks and background research on candidates advancing in the process.• Manage administrative and logistical details of the search, including scheduling and candidate correspondence.– Committee Evaluation of Finalists:• Suggest interview formats and questions appropriate to the district's priorities.• Support the school committee in structuring finalist interviews, including public forums as required by law and community expectations.• Complete thorough reference and background checks on finalists.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 1, 2026.
