(1) Vendor needs to provide self–determination and self– advocacy training services to the government authority located in Phoenix, AZ.– Contractor should be able to support curriculum development, secure training sites, and the recruitment of professional staff to support the statewide implementation of in–person or virtual training and support.– Training services that are organized with specific skill instruction designed to produce a measurable outcome.– provide members with the ability to access in–person or virtual training and guidance to develop self–determination and self–advocacy skills and how to competently use them.– These services shall educate members of their rights, strengthen their ability to communicate their wishes, support their ability to make personal decisions, and support their ability to exercise control over the type and intensity of support and services they need and receive.– Contractor shall conduct outreach programs, administer questionnaires, assessments and competency surveys to determine and support training and skill development needs for members.– Self–advocacy emerged as a powerful civil rights movement led by people with disabilities to fight for equal rights, inclusion, and personal choice.– Today self–determination and self–advocacy programs teach important life skills.– These include understanding their individual rights, making healthcare decisions, and solving problems.– They are strengthened by independent statewide coalitions that actively shape ongoing leadership development and systems change.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
