Notice Type: Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source firm–fixed price task order (base plus four option years) to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., for full–service maintenance and repair of Siemens Healthcare diagnostic imaging systems located within the Diagnostic Imaging Service at multiple North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System locations, under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). The NAICS code is 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing). Place of Performance: Multiple See Performance Work Statement Purpose and Objectives: Siemens is the original manufacturer and the only source with authorized access to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, service passwords, and OEM–certified parts required to properly service these imaging systems. This action ensures continued safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical diagnostic imaging systems essential to patient care. Only Siemens–trained service engineers can perform these services, and the use of non–OEM providers could risk equipment damage, safety issues, or additional costs to the Government.
