RFP #WMARC-493 - HEAVY EQUIPMENT GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEMS (GPS) AT BADLANDS AND LAMB CANYON SANITARY LANDFILLS

The County of Riverside Purchasing Department on behalf of the Department of Waste Resources (Department) is seeking proposals from qualified parties to furnish and install Heavy Equipment Global Positioning Systems (GPS) on the County of Riverside’s Badlands and Lamb Canyon Sanitary Landfills existing dozers and compactors. The purpose of this RFP is to furnish and install Heavy Equipment GPS on the Department’s existing dozers and compactors that can be used synchronously and simultaneously with permanent Base Stations at Badlands and Lamb Canyon Sanitary Landfills. Heavy Equipment GPS will be utilized to track equipment operation on the landfill, track progress towards achieving set design elevations, record activities for as-builts, help increase operator efficiency, facilitate equipment operation by providing grade control, and verify that maximum compaction density of refuse has been achieved. New GPS Base Station equipment shall be compatible with the Department’s existing Skydio X10 drones and Trimble GPS Ground Survey GNSS receivers composed of R8, R10, and R12 units. The selected Proposer providing these products shall also conduct training on all equipment and software utilized in the Heavy Equipment GPS program. The installation work in Bid Items 4 and 5 of Tab E Scope of Services is considered Public Works.
