Upper Hutt College - Old River Gym, Wharenui & MRC - Reroof & Interior Works

The Contract Works include: General: Prepare and implement all site-specific Health & Safety documentation, including the SSSP. Establish and maintain the site, including access, security, protection of occupied areas, and temporary works. Old River Gym Roof (Block G): • Remove existing pop-top ridge vent and permanently weatherproof the opening. • Replace translucent roofing sheets with new trafficable translucent sheets, including all associated flashings and fixings. • Complete all associated roof reinstatement and making-good works. MRC Roof (Block G): • Install new membrane roofing over tapered PIR insulation. • Provide new gutters, flashings, rainwater heads, outlets, and downpipes. • Install additional roof cavity ventilation above Room 15. • Ensure all roofing interfaces and penetrations are fully weathertight. MRC Room 15 (Block G) Internal Remediation: • Undertake asbestos removal, testing, monitoring, clearance certification, and disposal of contaminated materials. • Remove damaged ceilings, wall linings, mould-affected materials, services, fixtures, and hot water cylinder. • Allow a $5,000 + GST Provisional Sum for replacement of any decayed timber framing. • Reinstate with new wall and ceiling linings, vinyl flooring, plumbing and electrical services. • Complete mould treatment, painting, final cleaning, and handover ready for occupation. Wharenui Roof (Block J) • Remove and reinstate plywood cladding as required for new apron flashings. • Replace the existing walkway roof and fascia guttering. • Demolish the existing dormer and complete all associated roofing, cladding, framing, and reinstatement works. Completion Requirements: Complete all associated making-good works. Obtain all required approvals and comply with NZ Building Code, Ministry of Education requirements, and relevant regulations. Provide producer statements, warranties, O&M manuals, as-builts, and practical completion documentation. Deliver the works in a fully operational, weathertight, and defect-free condition.
