– Vendor needs to provide EMS medical director service to the government authority located in Salida, CO. – Provide physicians to serve as the EMS agency medical director.– Medical Director provides clinical leadership, medical oversight, and accountability for all patient care activities within the county EMS system.– Ensure high–quality, evidence–based EMS patient care.– Strengthen clinical oversight and accountability.– Improve system performance through CQI and data–driven evaluation.– Enhance provider education, competency, and readiness.– Aid in developing and updating agency–owned clinical protocols and standing orders.– Oversee waivers and scope of practice compliance.– Provide continuing education and training to EMS Agency personnel.– Ensure field provider credentialing.– Perform annual personnel competency review.– Oversee new hire orientation program for all field personnel.– Oversee waivers and scope of practice compliance.– Oversee and sign off on Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) competencies.– Lead a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program.– Advise EMS leadership on clinical and operational matters.– Serve as clinical liaison with hospitals and partner agencies.– Provide online and offline medical direction.
