Disaster Recovery Consultant Services

In accordance with the specifications listed herein, the City of New Smyrna Beach (herein after, “City”) has issued this Request for Proposals (hereinafter, “RFP”) for 'Project Title for the City of New Smyrna Beach. These services are new to the city. There is no current provider nor is this request replacing a provider. The city is seeking proposals from experienced professional consultants or consulting firms to enhance the city’s capabilities of receiving the maximum funding reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Florida under the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Grant Program. It is anticipated that the city will contract with one consultant or firm to provide the necessary professional services relating to Project Title . The consultant or firm shall have in-depth experience in implementing and managing the entire recovery process including preliminary damage assessment, project formulation, project management, reimbursement requests, appeals, and the closeout process required by the Stafford Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM). During this period, the City reserves the right to seek qualifications and/or proposals from other consultants or firms for specialized projects or services, as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The awarded firm must be registered on Sunbiz.org and licensed to do business in the State of Florida. Under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, all responses to this solicitation shall be considered public record, subject to distribution pursuant to the request for records by any interested party.
