Professional Services for Managing Food Waste and Other Organic Materials in Dane County

The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to submit a proposal to provide professional services for managing food waste, yard waste, and other organic material in Dane County. The County intends to use the results of this process to determine the approach it takes to managing food waste and other organic materials in the County to save landfill airspace. Possible outcomes from this process could include: A newly permitted organics recycling facility operated by Dane County A public-private partnership in the operations of existing organics recycling facilities A public-private partnership in the operations of a new organics recycling facility An alternative creative approach to managing food waste and other organic materials in the County, such as through digestion or other food waste to energy projects
