(1) Vendor needs to provide IT engineer services.• This position adds engineering depth: the daily volume of help desk escalations, hardware maintenance, and routine audits has grown to the point where it competes directly with larger infrastructure and strategic projects for engineering time. • This role absorbs much of that operational load so project work can stay on schedule, and it establishes a second layer of engineering coverage for network operations and infrastructure support across city departments.• The IT engineer works hands–on with the city's network stack, including switches, wi–fi access points, firewalls, and network monitoring, and assists with backups, remote management, the virtualized hypervisor environment, cloud infrastructure and physical servers across the city.(2) This is not RFP; this is job posting.
