CPS-Sacramento County Children's Program - Building Resiliency

The County of Sacramento Department of Child, Family and Adult Services is seeking interest from organizations qualified to develop and administer a therapeutic program that fosters resiliency in children ages 5-12 who have been abused or neglected or who are at risk of abuse or neglect. The program will provide services to children and families who live in or near the Gardenland, Northgate, and Noralto neighborhoods and will offer social development activities for the children including: arts and crafts, sports, cooking, games, group projects, field trips, cookouts, problem-solving and relationship-building exercises. The program will also offer supportive social services to the children and their families including, but not limited to, home visits, school site visits, attendance at child and family team meetings, assistance with food insecurity, and provision of transportation to/from school and provider service location. The goal of the program is to provide opportunities that foster resiliency and healthy self-esteem in children in the Gardenland, Northgate, or Noralto neighborhoods who are low-income or at risk of suffering from abuse or neglect.
