(1) Vendor needs to provide medicare set aside (MSA) services.– Provide comprehensive medicare set aside allocation services for workers’ compensation claims.– Services shall include case review, necessary communication with claimant and attorney, medical and pharmaceutical cost projection, rated age calculation, preparation of MSA documents.– Capable of performing seed money calculations for structured settlement considerations when applicable.– Standard MSA services shall apply to claims that meet review thresholds and involve non–catastrophic injuries with expected future medical exposure.– Zero or Limited MSA services shall apply to claims where an MSA allocation is not warranted or where a claimant had two or less causally related medical treatments in last 12 months and zero allocation towards prescriptions.– Catastrophic or complex MSA services may apply to claims involving severe injuries.(2) The contract period will be for five years.
