Vendor needs to provide professional engineering support services to the government authority located in Fountain, CO. – General Engineering expert in the areas of electrical and mechanical engineering, and determines methods and approaches to construction, maintenance, repair, and services. – Provides project management, design, CAD design, engineering and construction administration services for a variety of mechanical and electrical projects.– Engineer provides engineering and construction advisory services to the Engineering Division. Engineer evaluates work required by customers, establish work criteria, develops scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, design, time and funding requirements and conducts mechanical, civil, architectural, and electrical engineer studies.– Engineer works with and coordinates actions between in–house engineering staff, other Divisions and Installation Directorates, outside agencies, architectural and engineering firms, and other contractors, and customers.– Engineer develops architectural/engineering drawings, specifications, quantities and costs and reviews for accuracy, completeness, and conformance with work requirements for each project. Engineer engages in site visits with customers.– Engineer prepares independent cost estimates for assigned projects. Engineer ensures quality of work and makes certain that all projects meet engineering, statutory, regulatory, anti–terrorism/force protection and code compliance requirements and that projects support the customer’s requirements.– Engineer will track on going barracks projects, current barracks availability, and plan to demo or plan to add additional barracks. – Engineer will communicate through Teams, emails, phone, or face to face with project updates and follow–ups. – Engineer will conduct site visits through all phases (preliminary planning, site investigation, survey, design development, cost estimating, specifications, and requirements package development).
