Maintenance Tools & Safety Shoes

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is soliciting quotes for Project Title . Tool Voucher Program RTA currently employs 77 mechanical maintenance employees entitled to receive a $425 tool allowance. Employees may purchase tools from the RTA Approved List. It is anticipated approximately 50% of employees will elect to receive a voucher/gift card from a tool vendor in lieu of a cash allowance. The vouchers are to be redeemable through October 30, 2025. Tool Purchase Program Additionally, RTA will allow the mechanical employees to purchase, through the RTA and payroll deduction, additional approved tools at the vendor's listed discount. Employees may spend from their payroll deduction account during the year or carry the balance forward to the next contract year(s) up to a maximum account amount of $5,700 per individual. Safety Shoe Program RTA currently employs 101 mechanical and non-mechanical maintenance employees entitled to receive a $120 safety shoe allowance. Employees may purchase safety shoes with a voucher/gift card to a mobile shoe truck . It is anticipated approximately 50% of employees will elect to receive a voucher from a mobile safety shoe vendor in lieu of a cash allowance. The vouchers are to be redeemable through October 30, 2025.
