The goal of the network is to test new and improved approaches for people who have both chronic pain (CP) and opioid use disorder (OUD). These approaches should lead to meaningful improvements in how health systems deliver care. The network will be part of the NIH’s Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL®) Initiative to speed the development and implementation of scientific solutions to the national opioid public health crisis.
