MSA Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

FURNISH AND DELIVER (100) MSA G1 4500 FIRE SERVICE SCBA(S), ALL ACCESSORIES, AND UPGRADE LIGHT AND AIR UNIT TO 5500 PSI FILL STATION The Vista Fire Department (VFD) is requesting qualified vendors to provide quotes for SCBA Breathing Apparatus & Accessories. The objective of this Request for Bid (“RFB”) solicitation is to identify the most responsive and responsible bidder to provide the City with the requested SCBA equipment and accessories, including one hundred (100) MSA G1 4500 Fire Service SCBAs (Latest Model), upgrading the existing Light and Air Unit system (LA) to accommodate 5500 psi air bottles, and all additional equipment and accessories as detailed in the Bid Specifications. The SCBA units and LA upgrades shall be new with full factory warranties. All units shall be delivered complete and ready for service, as specified, and shall be equipped with all of the manufacturer’s standard equipment, as advertised, whether or not specifically mentioned in these specifications. Bids are requested from equipment suppliers that are responsive, responsible, and offer the best pricing and value. The agreement resulting from this bid will be a five-year contract subject to the terms and conditions contained within the sample multi-year purchase order contract, attached to the bid invitation. Orders will be placed throughout the term of the contract by assigned VFD personnel on an as-needed basis. The provided estimate of the amount of equipment that will be ordered throughout the contract term is based on previous usage. The actual quantities ordered may be greater or lower than the provided estimates. As such, the VFD makes no guarantee as to the order amount during the contract term.
