Escalona Drive Storm Drain Rehabilitation

City of Santa Cruz / Public Works

Description

The existing storm drain between catch basins (L5-CA604 and L5-CA603) has reached the end of its service life and the existing pipe is broken and has collapsed on to itself and has caused a sinkhole to form in Escalona Drive. The existing antiquated Type A Catch Basins will be removed and replaced with modern style Type B Catch Basins. The Escalona Drive Storm Drain Rehabilitation project will include the installation of a new section of 12-inch diameter storm drainpipe and restoring the pavement damaged by the sinkhole on Escalona Drive near the corner of Escalona Court. The improvement will reduce flooding and improve existing street conditions.
