Vendor needs to provide legal aid services to the government authority located in Jersey City, NJ.– Represent constituents in local, state, and federal matters. demonstrate an understanding of federal, state, and local law, so as to assist the unique needs of the residents of county; specifically in the areas of landlord/tenant matters, family law, and related areas of law.– Intake and screening. respondent will implement an intake protocol to collect necessary information for conflict checks and preliminary assessment in accordance with applicable professional responsibility rules.– Legal advice and representation parameters. respondent may, at its sole discretion and subject to conflicts checks and capacity, provide legal advice and/or representation to a constituent at no cost to the constituent.– Reporting. respondent will generate a written status report each month on the first of the month updating county counsel and, or deputy county counsel on all retained matters– Counsel clients in the steps needed to support and progress their individual case matters.
