City of Tampa has over 190 Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Automated External Defibrillator’s (AED) - No Substitution throughout various City owned buildings so employees and the public would have access to a defibrillator in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest event. Risk Management is the Division within the City of Tampa tasked with ongoing maintenance and updating the AED’s. The advantage of staying with one make and model of AED allows Risk Management to better manage the inventory of batteries and pads necessary to keep all units up-to-date and functioning.
