DRA-10946 - USA (Waco, Texas) - Freshwater Mussel Survey and Aquatic Species Relocation Services - Deadline July 16,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide freshwater mussel survey and aquatic species relocation services to the government authority located in Waco, TX.• The work will generally consist of surveys to determine the presence or absence of freshwatermussel species, provide population estimates if present, and in the event that relocation isrequired, assist agency staff with permitting and approvals and perform the relocation• Freshwater mussel survey work and relocations require expertise and qualifications to perform underwater, scientific dives• Freshwater Mussel Surveys:a. Literature and database review of historically documented freshwater musselspecies identified in the waterbodyb. Identification if any of these freshwater mussel species are listed on the federal orstate threatened and endangered species listsc. Employment of appropriate sampling techniques as dictated by site conditions,including hookah and agency techniques, if necessary, to perform:i. Freshwater mussel presence/absence surveysii. Freshwater mussel species identification and quantificationd. Photo documentation of the survey and of each species identifiede. Final Report – Firm will develop a final report for each survey performed, to bedelivered in .pdf format• Aquatic Resource Relocations:a. Literature and database review of historically documented species at specificproject site, to identify the potential for federal or state threatened and endangeredspecies to be presentb. Collaborating with agency staff, contract design engineers, construction contractors,and, if necessary, other project stakeholders, as needed to gather data to completeall tasksc. Drafting or assisting agency Environmental Services staff in drafting agency AquaticResource Relocation Plansd. Drafting or assisting agency Environmental Services staff in drafting agency andApplication for Permit to Introduce Fish, Shellfish, or Aquatic Plants into PublicWaters(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 3, 2026
