Vendor needs to provide attorney service to the government authority located in North Bergen, NJ. – Provide general counsel services to the agency.– Provide the agency with legal guidance relating to, but not necessarily limited to:1. Legal research and advisory opinions as needed;2. Represent the agency in federal and state courts and administrative forums;3. Review, analyze and advise the Township on any application before it;4. Review, draft and approve as to form and sufficiency all legal documents, contracts, deeds, ordinances and resolutions made, executed or adopted by or on behalf of the agency;5. Attend all meetings of the agency Commissioners and any other board or committee as directed;6. Designate an attorney primarily responsible for the contract who will act as the Director of Law – agency Attorney and perform all requirements of the position of agency Attorney;7. Notify the agency of changes in law or regulations, as well as Court decisions, that impact the agency and its officials;8. Any other matters as directed by the appropriate agency official(s);9. Agency Attorney shall not provide the following services: Zoning Board Attorney, Planning Board Attorney, ABC Attorney, Rent Leveling Board Attorney, Public Defender and Municipal Prosecutor.
