EXTRA-74713 - USA (Topeka, Kansas) - Lead Testing and Reduction Program Services - Deadline September 24,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide lead testing and reduction program services to the government authority located in Topeka, KS. – To provide comprehensive services in support of a voluntary Childcare Lead Testing and Reduction Grant Program, including developing, hosting, and maintaining program–specific websites. – Vendor shall deliver communication, training, testing, and mitigation support services, and shall conduct lead sampling, in accordance with Agency 3Ts (Training, Testing and Taking Action) guidance for reducing lead in drinking water in schools and childcare facilities.• Communicating lead water testing results from participating facilities and relevant public health information to stakeholders, including parents, staff, and the broader community. • Creating, managing, and maintaining a test results database, website, and a data visualization platform to publicly share tested facility information and results. • Providing training to participating facilities on the risks of lead exposure, testing protocols, and program participation requirements. • Mailing out test sampling kits to facilities, coordinating chain of custody, ensuring that samples are submitted to certified laboratories from the facilities, receiving laboratory test results for the facilities, and sharing the test results with the facilities. • Requiring that all facilities lead sampling and analysis utilizes agency–recommended protocols and certified laboratories; and • Developing and supporting the implementation of mitigation strategies for the facilities when elevated lead levels are identified. • Purchase and supply products that assist to mitigate elevated lead levels to the facilities when elevated lead levels are identified and where indicated. Examples of products include water pitchers, filter kits, bottle filling stations, and drinking fountains. (2) All questions must be submitted no later than August 31, 2026.(3) The contract period will be one year.
