Schiller & 84th Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, CIP 6104
City of Beaverton / Public Works - Engineering
Description
The West Slope neighborhood 's sanitary sewer system is identified by operations to be in the worst condition, most difficult to access, and the highest priority for rehabilitation in Beaverton. For much of the neighborhood the sanitary sewer mains are located in steep heavily vegetated areas or in the back yards of private properties limiting the access for City maintenance staff. The 2019 Sewer Master Plan update lists this area of having recurring backups due to aging infrastructure and root issues. The scope of Schiller and 84th Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation is to rehabilitate existing pipes that are normally inaccessible through trenchless methods such as Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining, and Pipe Bursting. New sanitary sewer mains will be installed in the right of way in place of existing sanitary sewer mains that cannot be repaired. Manholes will be placed throughout the project area to improve maintenance access.
