Dellner LRV Energy Absorber Units

Valley Metro Rail, Inc. ("Agency") plans to execute a sole source contract with Dellner Inc, for various replacement structural and hardware components for the Agency’s light rail vehicles (LRVs). This sole source is for stock replenishment. These units have been purchased from Dellner for the KI-LRV since 2008. The sole source mechanism is warranted and appropriate due to Dellner the original OEM for the Agency's coupler designed for KI-LRV. The KI-LRV coupler is patented, and its components are proprietary to Dellner. The energy absorber units are a custom part built around the coupler to absorb the impact of any significate collision sustain by LRV bumper
