Replace AHU's at Duncan and College Services System at Virginia Western Community College, PC# 260-B5260-023 (M23VW131)

Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Replace AHU’s at Duncan and College Services project at Virginia Western Community College, Project Code # 260-B5260-023 (M23VW131) located in Roanoke, Virginia. The project is generally described as the demolition and removal of several pieces of rooftop-mounted HVAC equipment from Duncan Hall, Craig Hall, and the College Services Buildings and the subsequent replacement of the same at those locations. The work includes the demolition, removal, and replacement of the associated equipment roof curbs; the limited demolition, removal, and replacement of adjacent membrane roofing and roof insulation; the limited demolition, removal, and replacement of associated HVAC service piping and ductwork; the demolition, removal, and replacement of an existing domestic water heater in the College Services Building; and the provision of Direct-Digital Controls (DDC) for the replacement equipment along with integration into existing campus control systems. PLEASE NOTE: For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. The deadline for submitting bids is 3:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 3:00 P.M., on the following day, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the same location. In person hand delivery is supported on bid day at the stated location. Building is open during regular business hours. All visitors need to sign in at the virtual receptionist (iPad on the wall in the main lobby.) Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. e-Builder: Contractor shall process all Pay Applications/Invoices through the Owner’s web-based project management software, e-Builder. There is no fee to use e-Builder. Owner will provide support or training to the Contractor as necessary. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Virginia Western Community College, 3099 Colonial Avenue, SW, Roanoke, Virginia 24015 in the Business Science Building, 2nd Floor, M228 Conference Room. Attendance is optional but highly recommended for those submitting a bid.
