Sherman Anderson Backstop Replacement

Sherman Anderson Baseball Park is located at 1501 Cleveland Ave., in Mount Vernon, Washington and has been an iconic facility in the community for 50+ years. The backstop/baseball barrier netting has had several additions and modifications over the years and needs replacement. The project will include demolition of the current chain link backstop and wood poles, that have been reduced to 5'-6' tall, and installation of the new netting barrier, and required restoration. The installation includes six (6) new poles at 50' above grade, extending 245'. The bottom of the new netting will connect to the top of the existing chain link fencing at 10' above grade. The City is seeking bids for demolition of the existing structure (base bid) and additive bids for backstop replacement with either wood or steel pole options as well as additive bids for outriggers, 5' on wood poles and 15' on steel poles.
